Israeli security forces have detained a Palestinian in East Jerusalem for allegedly joining the ISIL.
Israel's internal Shin Bet security agency said Monday, Khalil Khalil, 24, travelled to Syria via Turkey, where he joined ISIL.
He was arrested by Shin Bet when he returned to Jerusalem after spending several weeks in Syria, Shin Bet added.
Khalil was indicted for joining an illegal organization, trying to communicate with a foreign agent, and attempting to leave the country illegally.
